A Christmas Meal and Gifts for the Kids
The Christmas Meal and Toy Giveaway is designed to make the holidays a little easier for veterans, service members, and military families.
Christmas Meal
A holiday meal for the household to help your family enjoy Christmas together.
Gifts for Children
Toys and gifts for children ages 0 through 18 living in the home.
Both Meal and Gifts
Families who need both can request a Christmas meal and gifts for children in the same registration.
HOW REGISTRATION WORKS
How Registration Works
Families can register for a Christmas meal, gifts for children ages 0 through 18, or both. The registration form asks for your contact information, household information, and what type of holiday assistance you are requesting.
If you are requesting Christmas gifts, include each child's age and a few interests or gift ideas. This helps the HHF team match available donated items with the children and teens registered for the event.
Submitting the form lets HHF know what your household is requesting. Specific gifts cannot be guaranteed because available items depend on donations received for the event.
Register Your Household
Complete the Christmas event form and tell HHF whether you need a meal, gifts, or both.
Tell Us About the Kids
For gift requests, include each child's age and interests so the team has useful guidance.
Pick Up on Event Day
Registered families will pick up at Homeland Heroes Foundation in Salem on Friday, December 18, 2026.
Making Christmas a Little Easier
The holidays can bring extra expenses at a time when many families are already balancing groceries, bills, transportation, and everyday needs. This event is one way HHF can help take some of that pressure off.
A Christmas meal for the family.
Gifts for the children.
And a little more room to enjoy the holiday together.
PARTNERSHIP
In Coordination With Toys for Tots
Homeland Heroes Foundation is coordinating the toy portion of this holiday effort with Toys for Tots. Families register for the HHF event through Homeland Heroes Foundation. Supporters who choose the direct Toys for Tots donation link are donating to Toys for Tots, not to Homeland Heroes Foundation. Their support helps strengthen the toy portion of the event and gives HHF another way to help make sure children have something to look forward to on Christmas morning.

Donations made through this link go directly to Toys for Tots and are not processed by Homeland Heroes Foundation.

Anything Else We Should Know?
Help Stock the Christmas Giveaway
Holiday donations help HHF prepare meals and gifts for veteran families registered for the event. New, unwrapped gifts, gift cards, and financial contributions give the team more flexibility as Christmas gets closer.
Older children and teenagers are especially important to remember. Toy drives often receive many items for younger children, while gifts for ages 13 through 18 can be harder to collect.
HELP WITH THE HOLIDAYS
We Still Need Gifts for Older Kids and Teens
Christmas toy drives often receive many gifts for younger children, but older kids and teenagers can be harder to shop for. We want every child in a registered veteran household to feel included, especially ages 13 through 18. That is why gift cards, financial donations, and age-appropriate gifts for teens are especially helpful.
Gift Cards
Suggested categories may include: Target, Walmart, Amazon, clothing stores, sporting goods, gaming, books, restaurants, and general-purpose gift cards.
Teen Gifts
Ideas may include: headphones, portable speakers, gaming accessories, sports equipment, art supplies, journals, books, backpacks, hoodies, hats, beauty and self-care items, water bottles, small electronics, and hobby items.
Cash Donations
New Unwrapped Gifts
Most Needed Right Now
Our biggest holiday need is often for older children and teens. Gift cards, cash donations, and age-appropriate gifts for ages 13 through 18 are especially helpful because those age groups tend to receive fewer donated items.
Why Gift Cards Help
Gift cards are especially useful for older children and teens because interests and sizes can vary widely. They also give HHF flexibility when a registered family's needs do not match the physical gifts that have been donated.
Two Ways to Help This Christmas
